Meet the Cast & Crew

Catherine Urbanek is an actress, writer, and producer working in Los Angeles, and a proud graduate of Carnegie Mellon University’s B.F.A. Acting program. After working on the set of Max Landis’ "The Death and Return of Superman" in the fall of 2011, she was inspired to create her own web content and reached out to her pals, director Lillian DeRitter and stand-up Nora Davis. The 3 gathered one night at Nora’s house in Los Feliz, and Princess Business was born. Princess Business is Catherine’s first producing venture, but she has always enjoyed writing and acting. Currently, she studies at The Groundlings and will soon be entering the program’s Writing Lab. She is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA, AEA, and the Actors Co-op Theater Company, most recently portraying ‘Belle', a tipsy prostitute, in Eugene O’Neill’s “Ah, Wilderness!” to rave reviews. Catherine has 4 other web series in development and will be playing vegan hippie ‘Ali’ in the D&D-themed series “Rolling High”. Catherine also completed her first short, Too Much Verb, which she also wrote, produced, and starred. Her next big screen venture is the project “Jonny’s Sweet Revenge”, directed by Mark David, written by Jonathan Beech, and featuring Blake Clark and Priscilla Barnes. She would like to thank her AMAZING crew and cast, for all their patience, support, and collaboration.

Nora Davis was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She is a proud graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, where she studied theater, music, and psychology. She studied abroad in London at British American Drama Academy where she had the time of her life! At Sarah Lawrence, a liberal arts college where majors are nonexistent, Nora quickly learned the importance of creating your own work. During summer home from college, Nora spent a lot of time dressing up as Disney princesses and performing at kid’s parties, which is in part inspiration for the series. Shortly after graduation, Nora met up with Catherine Urbanek and Lillian DeRitter, two amazing ladies with a vision. She is thrilled to be a part of this creative team. Lillian and Catherine are two of the most amazing and talented people she has ever met. She feels grateful to be involved creatively with them, and so thankful to have them as friends, too. Nora is currently playing Hodel in “Fiddler on the Roof” with the St. Jean’s Players and is happy to relocate to NYC…for now…but not necessarily for happily ever after. Love to mom, dad and Michael.

Lillian DeRitter is a director, writer, and geek of the stage and screen. She is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in Drama (Directing) and minors in Creative Writing and English Literature. Directing credits include Caryl Churchill’s A Number, Euripides’ Alcestis, the first stage adaptation of Joss Whedon’s Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, and her (and Anthea Carns’) own Bad Hamlet. She has won awards for her fiction, opinion, and screenwriting pieces, most recently as a Finalist in the Austin Film Festival Sitcom Pilot category. Upcoming projects include an indie comic collaboration with squidinksamurai of Lady Geek Girl, a one hour dramedy about a small town thrown into chaos when one of their citizens is tried for terrorism, and the independent pilot Fangirls, based on her Austin Film Festival script.
